White Sox finalize Opening Day roster

GLENDALE, Ariz. – Following today’s exhibition game at Houston, the Chicago White Sox finalized their roster for Opening Day.  The roster will include the following 25 players:

• Pitchers (12): RHP Jesse Crain, LHP John Danks, RHP Gavin Floyd, RHP Philip Humber, RHP Nate Jones, LHP Will Ohman, RHP Jake Peavy, RHP Addison Reed, LHP Chris Sale, LHP Hector Santiago, RHP Zach Stewart and LHP Matt Thornton

• Catchers (2): A.J. Pierzynski and Tyler Flowers

• Infielders (6): Gordon Beckham, Adam Dunn, Eduardo Escobar, Paul Konerko, Brent Morel and Alexei Ramirez.

• Outfielders (5): Alejandro De Aza, Kosuke Fukudome, Brent Lillibridge, Alex Rios and Dayan Viciedo.

The White Sox open the 2012 season on Friday, April 6 at Texas (1:05 p.m. CT).
