Padres to Host Pirates for Seventh Homestand of the 2018 Season

The Padres return home from their sixth road trip of the season, an seven-day seven-game trip, for their seventh homestand of 2018, featuring a three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

San Diego Padres vs. Pittsburgh Pirates - Friday, June 29 @ 7:10 p.m.
 
The Padres return home from their sixth road trip of the season, an seven-day seven-game trip, for their seventh homestand of 2018, featuring a three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Action begins tomorrow with a 7:10 p.m. start.
 
Party in the Park presented by Southwest Airlines returns on Friday and will feature an '80s theme. The party begins at 4:30 p.m. with live entertainment and drink specials starting at $5 available in Park at the Park.
 
Friday will also serve as a First Responder Salute: Law Enforcement Night presented by Aetna. Elements include:
-Law enforcement representatives will participate in a warning track salute during the pregame ceremony.
-Border Community Liaison Toby Sosbee from U.S. Customs & Border Protection will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.
-Agent Norene Andersen from the Chula Vista Police Department will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch to batter U.S. Border Patrol Acting Assistant Chief Patrol Agent Bryan Kastoll and catcher Warden Daniel Paramo of the California Department of Corrections. A correctional deputy probation officer from San Diego County Probation will participate as the umpire.
-Deputy Camille Reyes of the San Diego Sheriff's Department will perform Friday's National Anthem.
-Prior to Friday's game, the Padres and Aetna will present the California Highway Patrol's 11-99 Foundation with a check for $10,000 to contribute to their efforts in providing emergency benefits to CHP employees and their families in times of crisis. Retired Deputy Commissioner and current Benefits Director and CHP Liaison Manny Padilla will accept the check on behalf of the California Highway Patrol, which will be presented by Padres SVP, Community & Military Affairs Tom Seidler and Mark Tucker from Aetna Public Sector.
 
Theme Game Grab Bag Weekend begins on Friday and will continue through Sunday. One of the past theme game items from 2018 will be available with each ticket purchased through the theme game ticket link here. Fans will have the option to select one item at their time of purchase, and all items will be available for purchase on the day of the game for $10 or $15.
 
San Diego Padres vs. Pittsburgh Pirates - Saturday, June 30 @ 7:10 p.m.
 
As part of Baseball Night in San Diego, all fans in attendance on Saturday will receive a Trevor Hoffman 500th Save Commemorative Bobblehead presented by Mitel.
 
The KAABOO Discovery Tour 2018 will showcase local artists flourishing in SoCal and will travel to Petco Park on Saturday for a pregame concert at Park at the Park, featuring Ray Goren, Trishes and Vinyl Soul. A ticket to the Pirates vs. Padres game is included in the pregame concert ticket package starting at $16. The first performance will begin at 4:30 p.m. For more information, fans can visit here.
 
The Scotts Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run competition will take place Saturday. Prior to the game, the top 12 baseball and top 12 softball qualifiers from Southern California and Nevada will compete at Petco Park in hopes of advancing to the National Finals during 2018 Major League All-Star Week in Washington D.C. The champions from each division age group will be recognized during the pregame ceremony.
 
Padres Solar Day presented by Sullivan Solar will take place on Saturday. Fans are encouraged to attend the pregame Power & Pints event from 5:30-6:45 p.m. in the Petco Park Auditorium to learn how they can go solar. Game tickets for Saturday are worth $1,000 when fans purchase a Sullivan Solar Power system for their home.
 
Saturday is also Noche de Béisbol. As part of the Hispanic Heritage celebration, the Padres will recognize their partnership with the Tijuana Sports Institute (IMDET) and the local youth baseball and softball leagues who helped host the Second Annual San Diego Padres Youth Clinic in Tijuana where over 200 boys and girls participated. Representatives from three Tijuana youth leagues and officials from the Tijuana Sports Institute will be recognized during Saturday's pregame ceremony.
 
In partnership with Irish Outreach San Diego, Saturday is also Irish Heritage Night at Petco Park, a night to recognize the local Irish community. For more information, fans can visit here.

The 4th of July will be celebrated on Sunday at Petco Park as the Padres will play on the road during the National Holiday. Fans are encouraged to wear their best Independence Day gear to the game. Fans who purchase the 4th of July theme game ticket package will receive a limited-edition Padres-themed 4th of July hat, available to the first 1,000 fans who purchase the dedicated ticket package. Sunday will also serve as a Military Salute: U.S. Coast Guard Appreciation Day presented by USAA. Elements of the day include:
-100 USCG representatives will line the baselines during the pregame ceremony.
-USCG Sector San Diego Enlisted Person of the Year Marine Science Technician Third Class Andrew Fleming will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell prior to Sunday's game.
-Maritime Enforcement Specialist First Class David Holland will be recognized as the USCG Sector San Diego Enlisted Person of the Year during the homeplate ceremony.
-Captain Joseph R. Buzzella, commanding officer of the USCG Sector San Diego, will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch during the pregame ceremony.
-USCG Petty Officer 2nd Class Mike Dalager will perform the National Anthem and God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch.
-Nine representatives from the U.S. Coast Guard will take the field to greet Padres starters as part of the "Military Take the Field."
-A flyover will be performed by USCG MH-60 Jayhawk helicopters prior to Sunday's game.
 
The fifth Friar Family Day presented by Denny's of the 2018 season takes place Sunday, with elements including:
-A special ticket package offer features $15 tickets for kids (14 and under) and $20 for adults. A hot dog and soda is included with each ticket.
-Access to inflatables and face painters in Park at the Park prior to Sunday's game.
-Following Sunday's game, kids 14 and under with the Friar Family Day ticket are invited to run the bases on the field. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the top of the ramp leading to the Craft Pier presented by Ballast Point on K Street.
-Fans can purchase tickets for Friar Family Day at the Petco Park box office or online here.
 
KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real Foods, Compadres Kids Photo Day and Postgame Kids Run the Bases activities include:
-KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real features bounce houses and other inflatables, games, face painters, balloon artists and more kid-friendly activities in Park at the Park beginning at 10:30 a.m.
-From 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., there will be a photo opportunity with Padres players and coaches on the warning track for Compadres Kids Photo Day. A Compadres Kids membership is required to participate. Membership is free, and kids can sign up online here or in-person on the day of the event.
-Following Sunday's game, kids 14 and under are invited to run the bases on the field. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the top of the ramp leading to the Craft Pier presented by Ballast Point on K Street. Compadres Kids members will receive front-of-the-line privileges by lining up at the Park Blvd Gate Plaza.

Prior to the game, there will be a movie activation for Hotel Transylvania 3 at Park at the Park featuring inflatables and characters.
