Angels host Dodgers and Mariners in six-game homestand

The Angels return for their seventh homestand after completing a 10-game road trip to Kansas City, Boston, Baltimore and Seattle.

The Angels return for their seventh homestand after completing a 10-game road trip to Kansas City, Boston, Baltimore and Seattle. The homestand will begin with interleague play on Friday at 7:07 p.m. vs. the Dodgers (Friday, July 6 - Sunday, July 8). Following the three-game showdown and an off day, the homestand will conclude with a three-game set vs. the Mariners (Tuesday, July 10 - Thursday, July 12). Below is a look at the notable events and ceremonies taking place at Angel Stadium during the homestand:
FREEWAY SERIES
•   To kick off the homestand, the Angels will host the Dodgers for a three-game series.
o   Saturday's game (July 7) will be broadcasted on FOX and the first pitch will be at 4:15 p.m.
o   Sunday's game (July 8) will be broadcasted on ESPN as part of Sunday Night Baseball and the first pitch will be at 5:08 p.m. 
o   ESPN's nationally recognized coverage of Sunday Night Baseball will highlight the matchup between the Dodgers and Halos on July 8. The program will be led by dugout reporter Buster Olney, analyst Jessica Mendoza, analyst Alex Rodriguez and play-by-play announcer Matt Vasgersian.
o   The Angels are set to host Sunday Night Baseball at Angel Stadium for the second time this season, last April 29 vs. Yankees. This is the first time hosting the program multiple times in a season since hosting three Sunday Night affairs in the 2007 campaign (July 29 vs. DET, September 2 vs. TEX & September 9 vs. CLE). 
o   This will be the fifth time the Freeway Series matchup will be featured on Sunday Night (all at Angel Stadium), with two clubs splitting previous four matchups in the Sunday night spotlight (June 30, 2002, July 4, 2004, June 21, 2009 & July 3, 2011). 
•   The Angels are also scheduled to appear on Sunday Night Baseball on September 2 at Houston.
FIRST PITCH
•    Mike Smith, the most recent Triple Crown champion with horse, Justify, and a member of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, will throw out the first pitch prior to Friday's game. Mark Mersel, representing Alzheimer's OC, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Friday's game. 
CEREMONIES
•   There will be a pre-game ceremony on Friday, July 6, honoring Alzheimer's OC
•   Fans in attendance of Saturday night's game vs. the Dodgers will be treated to a postgame fireworks show presented by Wells Fargo. 
•    We Care Hero will be honored in a pre-game ceremony on Sunday, July 8. 
•    The Albert Pujols Foundation will be honored in a pre-game ceremony on Tuesday, July 10. 
•   There will be a pre-game ceremony for Fanatics All-Stars, honoring this year's chosen All-Stars, on Wednesday, July 11.
GIVEAWAYS (while supplies last) 
•   In honor of Family Sunday on July 8, the first 10,000 kids in attendance will receive a Youth Trout Jersey presented by Angels Radio AM 830 while supplies last.
•   Upon entrance to the game on Tuesday, July 10, fans will receive a Trout Shirt courtesy of SoCal Honda Dealer.
•   Fans in attendance to Thursday's, July 12, game will receive an Ohtani Double Bobblehead courtesy of Lawson Ticket.
