Padres to Host Dodgers and Cubs for Eighth Homestand of the 2018 Season

The Padres return home from their seventh road trip of the season, an seven-day six-game trip, for their eighth homestand of 2018, featuring games against the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs.

The Padres return home from their seventh road trip of the season, an seven-day six-game trip, for their eighth homestand of 2018, featuring games against the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs. Action begins Monday with a 7:10 p.m. start against the Dodgers.
 
Friar Family Day presented by Denny's will take place on all Sunday through Thursday Padres home games as part of the newly expanded promotion. Monday's Friar Family Day ticket package will include:
-A special ticket package offer featuring $15 tickets for kids (14 and under) and $20 for adults. A hot dog and soda is included with each ticket along with the opportunity to choose from an assortment of giveaway items, available on a first-come, first-served basis, for fans who purchase the dedicated Friar Family Day ticket package.

The Perfect Game All-American Classic press conference will be held in Park at the Park prior to Monday's game. Representatives from the Padres, Perfect Game and Rady Children's Hospital will announce details of the 2018 Perfect Game All-American Classic, which will be held on Sunday, August 12 at 5:00 p.m. at Petco Park.
 
San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers - Tuesday, July 10 @ 7:10 p.m.
 
Friar Family Day presented by Denny's will take place on Tuesday, with elements including:
-A special ticket package offer featuring $15 tickets for kids (14 and under) and $20 for adults. A hot dog and soda is included with each ticket.
-Following Tuesday's game, kids 14 and under with the dedicated Friar Family Day ticket are invited to run the bases on the field. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the Park Blvd Gate Plaza.
-Fans can purchase tickets for Friar Family Day at the Petco Park box office or online here.
 
The Padres Estrellas program presented by Arco continues its partnership with local school districts and non-profits to support the effort to reduce high school dropout rates and improve health and fitness behaviors within the Hispanic youth population. Prior to Tuesday's game, students from Mana De North County, Encuentros de San Diego and STAR/PAL will be treated to tickets to the game and have the opportunity to watch batting practice from the field before being recognized at home plate during the pregame ceremony.
 
The seventh Taco Tuesday of 2018 takes place Tuesday and features Petco Park's favorite local tacos at a special price. For only $2.50, fans can choose from a variety of taco options at Blue Water Seafood Market & Grill (section 117 location), Carnitas' Snack Shack, Wonderland Ocean Pub, Lucha Libre, Miguel's, Seaside Market and Brigantine.
 
San Diego Legion President and General Manager Matt Hawkins will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch prior to Tuesday's game.

Wednesday will feature Way Back Wednesday presented by Budweiser with the Padres wearing their home white, blue and orange pinstripe uniforms worn by the club from 1991 to 2001. In-game music, graphics and other entertainment features will add to the Way Back Wednesday theme. Fans are encouraged to purchase a special theme game ticket package to receive a Tony Gwynn replica jersey in honor of the Padres 1998 All-Star, available to the first 2,500 fans who purchase the ticket package available here.
 
Friar Family Day presented by Denny's will take place on Wednesday, with elements including:
-A special ticket package offer featuring $15 tickets for kids (14 and under) and $20 for adults. A hot dog and soda is included with each ticket.
-Kids with the dedicated Friar Family Day ticket will have exclusive access to a 30-minute baseball/softball clinic with the Padres ball girls on the wiffle ball field in Park at the Park. The clinic will begin at the top of the 2nd inning.

Christmas in July will be celebrated on Thursday at Petco Park, featuring:
-A special ticket package which includes a limited-edition Christmas in July t-shirt, available to the first 1,000 fans who purchase the dedicated Christmas in July ticket package. For more information, fans can visit here.
-Santa, elves, toy soldiers on stilts and the Grinch will be on-hand in a holiday-themed area in Park at the Park along with Christmas-themed in-game entertainment.
 
Friar Family Day presented by Denny's will take place on Thursday, with elements including:
-A special ticket package offer featuring $15 tickets for kids (14 and under) and $20 for adults. A hot dog and soda is included with each ticket along with access to bounce houses and other inflatables and games in Park at the Park.

The fourth College Night of 2018 will take place Friday. Elements include:
-A DJ spinning at the Budweiser Patio in Right Field from 5:30 p.m. through the conclusion of the game.
-College students will receive a special ticket discount with a valid student ID (advance price of $15 in a Right Field Upper Reserved College Night section; prices increase day-of-game).
 
Participants of the Summer Slugger program will be recognized in a pregame ceremony celebrating National Summer Learning Day. Summer Slugger is a Padres-themed online learning experience that prevents summer learning loss and prepares students to enter the next school year on track.
 
Padres fans who take the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner to Santa Fe Depot will receive a free ride on the Fox Sports San Diego Fan Express bus to Petco Park.
 
San Diego Padres vs. Chicago Cubs - Friday, July 13 @ 7:10 p.m.
 
Friday night will feature BeerFest presented by Southwest Airlines, featuring:
-Live entertainment and a wide selection of beers from a variety of local and national breweries at Park at the Park.
-First pour is at 4:30 p.m. with all beers specially priced at $5 and available for purchase with Friar Funds exclusively.
 
Friday will also serve as a First Responder Salute: San Diego Police Department presented by FOX Sports San Diego. Elements include:
-20 San Diego police officers will line the first baseline during the pregame ceremony.
-A representative from SDPD will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.
-Padres Executive Chairman Ron Fowler and FOX Sports San Diego SVP & General Manager Lindsay Amstutz will present a check for $10,000 to SDPD Chief Dave Nisleit and Emily Rex of the San Diego Police Department Foundation.
-SDPD Chief David Nisleit will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.
-Detective Alicia Chudy of the Chula Vista Police Department will perform the National Anthem prior to Friday's game.
-Nine SDPD officers will take the field to greet Padres starters.

San Diego Padres vs. Chicago Cubs - Saturday, July 14 @ 7:10 p.m.
 
As part of Baseball Night in San Diego, all fans in attendance will receive a Trevor Time T-Shirt. Four sizes will be available to fans (Youth Large, Adult Medium, XL and 2XL). Exchange locations will be available in Park at the Park, Park Blvd. Gate and Home Plate Gate for fans wishing to exchange sizes. Sizes are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
 
Prior to Saturday's game, representatives from Genentech will be on hand for a Strike Out Cancer pregame ceremony. Strike Out Cancer was created by Genentech to encourage those affected by cancer to learn about support networks and educational resources to assist in coping with the disease. As part of the ceremony, Genentech will donate $15,000 to Mama's Kitchen, which home-delivers medically tailored nutrition to San Diego County residents who are vulnerable to hunger due to the debilitating effects of cancer every day of the year, at no cost to recipients.
 
Saturday is Swim Night, a special event night to recognize the San Diego swimming community, with elements including:
-A special ticket package featuring a Padres-themed swim cap, available to the first 1,000 fans who purchase the dedicated Swim Night ticket package. For more information, fans can visit here.
-Representatives from the San Diego swim community will recognized during the pregame ceremony.

San Diego Padres vs. Chicago Cubs - Sunday, July 15 @ 1:10 p.m.
 
The Padres Foundation will be hosting a "Players' Favorite Things" fundraiser, with 100 percent of proceeds raised benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation, San Diego Chapter. Fans attending the game will have the opportunity to bid on baskets that wives, girlfriends and significant others put together representing the players' favorite things. Baskets are one-of-a-kind, and include autographed memorabilia, bats, jerseys, books, sporting equipment, gift cards, snacks, movies, wine and lots more. The auction, located in the Home Plate Gate Plaza, begins when gates open and will last through the end of the 6th inning.
 
Sunday will also serve as a Military Salute: U.S. Marine Corps Coast Guard Appreciation Day presented by USAA. Elements of the day include:
-Over 100 marines from Camp Pendleton and MCAS Miramar will line the baselines during the pregame ceremony.
A USMC representative from Camp Pendleton will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.
-Seven Marine Option NROTC Scholarship recipients will be recognized during a homeplate ceremony.
-Command Sergeant Major James Porterfield, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, will present the Padres 2018 All-Star with his All-Star Game jersey at homeplate prior to Sunday's game.
-40 future marines will take the Oath of Enlistment during the pregame ceremony, administered by Major Jared Reddinger, Commanding Officer, U.S. Marine Corps Recruiting Station San Diego.
-WWII veteran and Korean War POW Master Gunnery Sergeant Len Maffioli, USMC (Ret). will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.
-A USMC representative will perform the National Anthem and God Bless America during the 7th-inning stretch.
-Nine drill instructors from Marine Corps Recruit Depot will take the field to greet Padres starters as part of the "Military Take the Field."
-A flyover will be conducted by V-22 Osprey aircraft from Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.
 
KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real Foods, Compadres Kids Sunday Signings and Postgame Catch on the Field activities include:
-KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real features bounce houses and other inflatables, games, face painters, balloon artists and more kid-friendly activities in Park at the Park beginning at 10:30 a.m.
-From 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., two Padres players will sign autographs at the Park at the Park for Compadres Kids Sunday Signings. A Compadres Kids membership is required to participate. Membership is free, and kids can sign up online here or in-person on the day of the event.
-Following Sunday's game, kids 14 and under are invited to play catch on the field. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the top of the ramp leading to the Craft Pier presented by Ballast Point on K Street. Compadres Kids members will receive front-of-the-line privileges by lining up at the Park Blvd Gate Plaza.
 
There will be roaming characters in Park at the Park as part of the Laika Studios activation.
