A's recall RHP Dull from Nashville; Option RHP Montas to Nashville

The Oakland A's recalled right-handed pitcher Ryan Dull from Triple-A Nashville and optioned right-handed pitcher Frankie Montas to Nashville, the club announced today.

The Oakland A's recalled right-handed pitcher Ryan Dull from Triple-A Nashville and optioned right-handed pitcher Frankie Montas to Nashville, the club announced today.
 
Dull joins the A's for the third time this year and has no decisions, a 5.06 ERA and .306 opponents batting average in 17 appearances over his first two stints. He began the season on the disabled list, was reinstated April 14, and logged a 6.30 ERA in 12 games before he was optioned to Nashville May 18. The 28-year-old right-hander returned the next day and allowed two runs in 6.0 innings over a five-game stretch before he was optioned again June 8. Dull posted a 2.61 ERA in nine games with the Sounds following his most recent option and has a 2.51 ERA in 12 games overall at Triple-A.
 
Montas was recalled from Nashville May 27 and went 5-2 with a 3.35 ERA and .280 opponents batting average in eight starts with the A's. He is 1-5 with a 4.39 ERA and .269 opponents batting average in nine starts with the Sounds.
