Colorado Rockies reinstate catcher Tom Murphy from paternity list

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have reinstated catcher Tom Murphy from the paternity list and have optioned infielder-outfielder Jordan Patterson to Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have reinstated catcher Tom Murphy from the paternity list and have optioned infielder-outfielder Jordan Patterson to Triple-A Albuquerque.
 
Murphy, 27, was placed on the paternity list last Saturday, July 7 … has batted .313 (15-for-48) with two runs, six doubles, seven RBI, one walk and 20 strikeouts in 15 games with the Rockies since being recalled from Albuquerque on June 12 … batted .289 (54-for-187) with 34 runs, 14 doubles, two triples, 16 home runs and 45 RBI in 49 games at Triple-A … in 59 games with the Rockies since his Major League debut in 2015, has batted .245 (37-for-151) with 16 runs, 10 doubles, eight home runs, 30 RBI, 11 walks and 58 strikeouts. 
 
Patterson, 26, was recalled from Triple-A on Saturday, July 7 for his first appearance on the Major League roster this season and did not make an appearance over the stint … in 73 games with Albuquerque, has batted .265 (68-for-257) with 49 runs, 14 doubles, one triple, 19 home runs, 52 RBI, 28 walks, 83 strikeouts and five stolen bases … is tied for second in the Pacific Coast League in home runs (19) … was recalled by the Rockies one time in 2017, on June 7, but did not make an appearance before being optioned … made his Major League debut for the Rockies in 2016 and batted .444 (8-for-18) with one run, one double, two RBI, one walk and one strikeout in 10 games.
