Twins place Addison Reed on disabled list

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed right-handed pitcher Addison Reed on the 10-day disabled list with right triceps tightness.

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed right-handed pitcher Addison Reed on the 10-day disabled list with right triceps tightness. Reed appeared in 41 games for the Twins this season, going 1-5 with a 4.83 ERA (41.0 IP, 22 ER), 13 walks, eight home runs allowed and 37 strikeouts.
To replace Reed on the 25-man roster, the Twins have recalled right-handed pitcher Alan Busenitz from Triple-A Rochester. Busenitz, who will be making his third stint with the Twins this season, appeared in six games previously for Minnesota going 2-0 with a 6.43 ERA (7.0 IP, 5 ER), two walks and 12 strikeouts. He appeared in 20 games overall for the Red Wings this season, going 2-2 with a 1.41 ERA (32.0 IP, 5 ER), six walks and 37 strikeouts.
