Ross Stripling added to NL All-Star team

Major League Baseball announced today that right-handed pitcher Ross Stripling has been added to the NL's active roster for the Midsummer Classic.

LOS ANGELES -- Major League Baseball announced today that right-handed pitcher Ross Stripling has been added to the NL's active roster for the Midsummer Classic.
This will be the first All-Star selection for Stripling, who is 7-2 with a 2.22 ERA in his third Major League season. In 24 games (13 starts), the native of Texas has 103 strikeouts and just 13 walks in 89.1 innings pitched while posting a 1.07 WHIP. In his 13 starts, Stripling is 7-2 with a 2.55 ERA (21 ER/74.0 IP) and ranks among the NL leaders in ERA (2.55, 6th), WHIP (1.05, T-7th) and strikeouts per nine innings (10.46, 12th) while leading all starters in walks per nine innings (0.85) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (12.29) (min. 10 GS). Stripling joins his Dodgers teammates Matt Kemp and Kenley Jansen on the NL roster, which will be managed by Dodger skipper Dave Roberts.
