Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band's "Wrecking Ball" World Tour Comes to Nationals Park

Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band announced today that they will perform at Nationals Park – home of the Washington Nationals – on Friday, September 14 as an extension of their 2012 'Wrecking Ball' World Tour.''

Tickets and parking will go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 27 at 10 a.m., online at www.tickets.com and by phone at 888.632.6287. The show will be held rain or shine and will be promoted by Live Nation.

“We are excited to welcome Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band to Nationals Park for what will no doubt be an unforgettable performance,” Nationals Chief Operating Officer Andrew Feffer said. “There's nothing more American than baseball and rock 'n roll in the Nation's Capital, and bringing such an iconic show to Nationals Park is just an another example of our commitment to creating the ultimate fan experience.”

The concert will be the third show held at Nationals Park, following Elton John and Billy Joel’s sold-out show in July 2009 and the sold-out Dave Matthews Band concert featuring Zac Brown Band in July 2010.

Springsteen & the E Street Band are currently barnstorming across the United States, earning accolades for their stellar performances. Rolling Stone called the show “epic,” while The New York Times described it as “explosive” and The Boston Globe wrote of the concert's “energy that bordered on superhuman.” Bruce Springsteen's 'Wrecking Ball' (Columbia) was released last month and debuted at #1 in the U.S. and 14 other countries.
