Astros return home for three-game Lone Star Series vs. Texas Rangers

Tomorrow, the Astros return to Minute Maid Park for a three-game, weekend Lone Star Series presented by Texas Lottery vs. the Texas Rangers, this Friday-Sunday, July 27-29.

HOUSTON, TX-- Tomorrow, the Astros return to Minute Maid Park for a three-game, weekend Lone Star Series presented by Texas Lottery vs. the Texas Rangers, this Friday-Sunday, July 27-29. The Astros have already claimed the Silver Boot from the Texas Rangers in 2018, which gives the Astros outright consecutive season series wins over Texas for the first time since 2002-03. The Astros are 16-4 in their last 20 games opposite the Rangers and have won their last eight contests against the club. 
The Astros enter this weekend with a 5.0 game lead in the AL West Division over the Seattle Mariners and at 67-37, own the second-best record in Major League Baseball behind the Boston Red Sox.

TICKET POLICY
As a reminder regarding tickets, all fans must either have their printed tickets in hand or utilize the MLB Ballpark App on their mobile devices to access Minute Maid Park and any Astros Street Fests. PDFs, screenshots or any photos of tickets on a mobile device will NOT be accepted, and the Astros will not be able to print tickets on-site. As part of the Astros' ongoing commitment to the safety of all fans, there is no re-entry into the ballpark once fans are scanned in, a policy consistent with the Astros postseason game day protocol as well as with other sports and entertainment venues around the country.
Friday, July 27 vs. Texas Rangers - 7:10 p.m.
Prior to Friday's contest, media are invited to the unveiling of renowned artist and Houston native Opie Otterstadt's 2017 World Championship Celebration mural. The unveiling will take place on the Suite Level landing near Suite 5 at 4:30 p.m. Otterstadt has spent the last four months painting the mural in front of fans in areas and concourses throughout the ballpark during Astros home games. The mural stretches 10 feet high by 25 feet wide and marks the largest single canvas of Otterstadt's career. 
On Friday, the Astros will partner with Chevy to host military members and their families at the ballpark for Chevy Military Appreciation Night. Chevy is distributing 500 tickets to local active-duty military members and veterans for the event. During a special pregame ceremony, active-duty military members representing all branches of the
military will present a giant American flag in the outfield as Angela Matthews of the U.S. Air Force performs the National Anthem. The Joint Service Color Guard - Houston will present our nation's colors. Additionally, Sergeant First Class Garth Roe of the United States Marine Corps will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. 

SFC Roe served 10 years in the U.S. Marine Corps with the 2nd Marine Reconnaissance Battalion and 2nd Marine Raider Battalion, earning the Good Conduct medal, Iraq campaign medal, Combat Action ribbon, Afghanistan Campaign Medal and Purple Heart. He was medically retired from the Marines after sustaining a gunshot wound to the hip in Afghanistan in 2009, which required approximately 80 surgeries over a five-year period of time.
Big and Bright Friday Nights return to Minute Maid Park this Friday with a special Pregame Happy Hour presented by Budweiser at the Budweiser Brew House, where fans can enjoy $6, 16oz Budweiser Signature Draft beer and food specials, a live DJ, corn hole, jenga, and more from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. before every Friday night home game. 
Come get loud and rowdy every Friday night in the Astros dedicated fan-section, 'StroZone, presented by Texas Mahindra Dealers! This Friday night's 'StroZone includes an exclusive "Lone Star Series Champions" 'StroZone T-shirt for fans. To cap off Big and Bright Friday Night, fans are invited to stay after the game for Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Occidental Petroleum. Astros fans voted on the musical theme for this Friday's fireworks display, which will be 80's music, through a social media contest on Twitter. Upon conclusion of Friday's game and prior to the start of Friday Night Fireworks, fans will be asked to move from the following sections for their safety and enjoyment: Home Run Alley, Escalator Tower Stairs in Center Field, Budweiser Brew House Tiers, Budweiser Batter's Eye Bar, Torchy's Deck, Crawford Boxes and sections 100-109, 205-208, 305-309, and 405-409.
Saturday, July 28 vs. Texas Rangers - 6:10 p.m.
Prior to Saturday's contest, 10,000 fans will receive a Lone Star Series T-Shirt presented by Germania Insurance. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early to receive any promotional giveaways, as supplies are limited and not guaranteed. However, fans will not be allowed to line up for giveaways prior to 8:00 a.m. the day of the giveaway.
During a pregame ceremony, Breitling USA President Thierry Prissert will present limited-edition Breitling Chronomat 44 watches to the 2017 World Champion Astros. President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Jeff Luhnow, President of Business Operations Reid Ryan, manager AJ Hinch and players Jose Altuve and George Springer will accept the watches on behalf of the Astros organization. The 100% Swiss-made watch features the Houston Astros logo on the dial along with the team colors of orange and blue, with a special, custom-engraved case back featuring the World Series logo, player's name and uniform number.
Sunday, July 29 vs. Texas Rangers - 1:10 p.m.
Following Sunday's afternoon contest, young Astros fans 5-12 are invited to participate in Kids Run the Bases presented by Securian Financial. The line for Kids Run the Bases will begin at Section 131/132.
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP COLLECTION

COMMISSIONER'S TROPHY ON DISPLAY
Astros fans can view and take photos with the Commissioner's Trophy, free of charge, when the Astros play at home at Minute Maid Park, Monday through Thursday, beginning when gates open until 30 minutes prior to first pitch. A limited number of vouchers for the photo opportunity will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The Commissioner's Trophy will be available in the Atrium, just outside Union Station Lobby on the main concourse. During Astros home games Friday through Sunday, the Trophy will be on display in the Union Station Team Store from the time gates upon through the end of the game.
