The Los Angeles Dodgers placed left-handed pitcher Alex Wood on the 10-day disabled list Saturday with a left adductor tendonitis and reinstated left-handed pitcher Zac Rosscup from the 10-day disabled list.
Wood, 27, started Friday night against the Astros, where he gave up just two runs (one earned) on four hits and struck out four over 6.0 innings. The Charlotte, NC native has posted a 7-6 record and 3.58 ERA (49 ER/123.1 IP) in 22 starts for Los Angeles this season. This is the first time Wood has been on the disabled list this year.
Rosscup, who missed 10 games with left middle finger inflammation, has made four relief appearances with Los Angeles this season, tossing a scoreless inning of relief with one strikeout. The southpaw was claimed off of waivers by the Dodgers on July 11 from the Colorado Rockies.
