DETROIT - The Detroit Tigers announced today that they have acquired two players to be named later or cash considerations from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for RHP Mike Fiers.
Fiers, 33, has made 21 starts for the Tigers this season, posting a 7-6 record with a 3.48 ERA (119.0IP/46ER) and 87 strikeouts. He currently ranks eighth in the American League with 1.97 walks per nine innings.
