Padres to Host Phillies, Angels & Diamondbacks for 10th Homestand of 2018

The Padres return home from their ninth road trip of the season, a nine-day seven-game trip, for their 10th homestand of 2018, featuring games against the Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Angels and Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Padres return home from their ninth road trip of the season, a nine-day seven-game trip, for their 10th homestand of 2018, featuring games against the Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Angels and Arizona Diamondbacks. Action begins tonight with a 7:10 p.m. start against the Phillies.
 
WineFest presented by Southwest Airlines will take place Friday, with elements including:
-A big pregame happy hour in Park at the Park beginning at 4:30 p.m. featuring live entertainment and red and white wines from local and regional wineries available for $5. Fans can pre-purchase Friar Funds here.
-A special ticket package, available for fans who would like to receive a limited-edition Padres-themed stemless wine glass set. For more information, fans can visit here.
 
To celebrate National Baseball Card Day, all fans in attendance will receive a Commemorative Padres Trading Card Pack presented by Topps.
 
Friday will serve as a First Responder Salute: San Diego County Sheriff's Department presented by Aetna. Elements include:
-Deputies from the San Diego Sheriff's Department will line the first baseline during the pregame ceremony.
-Deputy Amber Leidecker from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.
-Deputy Daniel Sloppye from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch, and will be joined by Teddy, the San Diego Sheriff's Department mascot.
-Representatives from the Padres and Aetna will present a check to Denese Deal, President of the San Diego Sheriff's Team Assistance & Resources (STAR) Program, and Sheriff Bill Gore at home plate.
-Deputy Camille Reyes of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department will perform the National Anthem, joined by signer Lieutenant Cynthia Montgomery.
-Nine deputies from the San Diego Sheriff's Department will take the field to greet Padres starters at their positions.
 
Grab Bag Weekend begins on Friday and will continue through Sunday. Past theme game items from 2018 will be available with each ticket purchased through the theme game ticket link here. Fans will have the option to select one item at their time of purchase, and all items will be available for purchase on the day of the game for $10 or $15. Items are subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
Debuting at Petco Park this homestand is the Rocket League gaming area in the Power Alley behind Section 129. Rocket League, a sports-action game developed and published by the San Diego-based company Psyonix, is a physics-based soccer and driving multi-player game. All fans will now be able to play Rocket League on Sony PlayStation 4's at the Power Alley during all remaining Padres home games.
 
San Diego Padres vs. Philadelphia Phillies - Saturday, August 11 @ 5:40 p.m.
 
As part of Baseball Night in San Diego, all fans in attendance will receive a Beach Towel presented by Sycuan Casino.
 
In partnership with The House of the Philippines, the Padres will celebrate Filipino Heritage Night, a night to recognize the San Diego Filipino community, on Saturday. Elements include:

Sunday will also serve as a Military Salute: United States Navy Appreciation Day presented by USAA. Elements of the day include:
-Over 100 sailors from the U.S. Navy will line the baselines during the pregame ceremony.
-Commander Naval Air Forces Sailor of the Quarter, MC1 Ramon Bayas, will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.
-Rear Admiral Yancy Lindsey, Commander Navy Region Southwest, will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.
-Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Dianne Dumpit will perform the National Anthem before the game and God Bless America during the 7th-inning stretch.
-Nine U.S. Navy representatives will take the field to greet Padres starters as part of the "Military Take the Field."
-A flyover will be conducted by two U.S. Navy F-18 Super Hornet Aircraft from Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 9 located in China Lake, CA.
 
Sunday is also Jewish Community Day at Petco Park, a day to recognize the San Diego Jewish community, featuring:
-A special ticket package which includes a limited-edition Padres-themed Jewish Community Day hat and a Kosher hot dog and soda, available to the first 1,000 fans who purchase the dedicated Jewish Community Day ticket package. For more information, please visit here.

Friar Family Day presented by Denny's will take place on Sunday, with elements including:

-Following Sunday's game, kids 14 and under with the Friar Family Day ticket are invited to participate in a baseball/softball clinic hosted by the Padres ball girls on the wiffle ball field in Park at the Park. -From 11:00 to 11:30 a.m., two Padres players will sign autographs at the Park at the Park for Compadres Kids Sunday Signings. A Compadres Kids membership is required to participate. Membership is free, and kids can sign up online here or in-person on the day of the event.
-Following Sunday's game, kids 14 and under are invited to participate in a baseball/softball clinic hosted by the Padres ball girls on the wiffle ball field in Park at the Park. In partnership with Perfect Game and Rady Children's Hospital, the Padres will host the 16th Annual Perfect Game All-American Classic on Sunday following the Padres game, featuring 50 of the top high school baseball players from across the country in a West Coast vs. East Coast showdown. The ninth Taco Tuesday of 2018 takes place Tuesday and features Petco Park's favorite local tacos at a special price. The Padres Family Association will present a check with proceeds from the "Padres' Favorite Things" basket fundraiser to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, San Diego Chapter during Tuesday's pregame ceremony. Fans recently had the opportunity to bid on baskets that wives, girlfriends and significant others put together representing the player's favorite things. The auction raised nearly $34,000 and was matched by Padres Executive Chairman Ron Fowler and his wife, Alexis, totaling $68,000 that will be donated to Make-A-Wish San Diego.
 
Padres fans who take the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner to Santa Fe Depot will receive a free ride on the Fox Sports San Diego Fan Express bus to Petco Park.

The Padres Baseball and Softball Camp Reunion takes place Wednesday to celebrate the series of summer camps the Padres offered, which were created to enrich the lives of children through instruction, character development and a unique Major League experience. Approximately 400 Padres baseball and softball campers will participate in a warning track salute during the pregame ceremony.
 
On Wednesday, the Padres Foundation, in partnership with SDG&E, will continue their season-long "Going to Bat for San Diego" initiative. The partnership aims to honor the 13 local organizations dedicated to keeping San Diego safe and clean. Wednesday's "Going to Bat for San Diego" will feature Broken Bats for New Trees. Representatives from the Padres and SDG&E will present a check for $20,000 each to Balboa Park Conservancy and Tree San Diego during the pregame ceremony.

Four sizes will be available to fans (Youth Large, Adult Medium, XL and 2XL) on a first-come, first-served basis.
