TANNER SCOTT AT ORIOLES TEAM STORE IN YORK
On Tuesday, Orioles pitcher TANNER SCOTT will make an appearance at the Orioles Team Store in the York Galleria (2899 Whiteford Rd., York, Pa.) from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Scott will sign autographs and greet fans. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
CHRIS DAVIS & CASEY CARES EXTRA INNINGS EVENT
On Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET, Orioles infielder CHRIS DAVIS will join the Casey Cares Foundation at the Extra Innings Baltimore facility. Davis will meet, sign autographs for, and play games with critically-ill children and their families. Davis and his wife, JILL, have been working with Casey Cares for the last few years, serving as race ambassadors for the Casey Cares 5K run/walk at Oriole Park at Camden Yards since 2016. This event will be closed to media, but photos and b-roll from the event will be made available.
ORIOLES TO HOST MAKE-A-WISH CHILD
On Tuesday, the Orioles will welcome ETHAN, a 15-year-old from McLeansville, NC, to Oriole Park through Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic. Ethan, who has a cardiac condition, is an avid Orioles fan and baseball player himself. Ethan will have his own locker and nameplate set up with a jersey and hat, will meet with members of the team, get a behind-the-scenes tour of the ballpark, and will present the Orioles lineup card to the umpires prior to the game.
GAME OF THRONES NIGHT® AT ORIOLE PARK
The Orioles invite fans to enjoy Game of Thrones® Night at Oriole Park on Tuesday. A limited number of ticket packages are still available, featuring an exclusive pregame party in the bullpen picnic area located in center field from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., a game ticket in the left field lower box, a limited-edition Game of Thrones bobblehead, and the opportunity to take a photo on the Iron Throne. PREGAME CEREMONY: Maryland Public Libraries Summer Reading Program
During a special pregame ceremony, representatives from each Maryland county library will be acknowledged for their work with the summer reading program. As a reward for youth who participated in their library's summer reading program, the Orioles donated 5,000 tickets for games on Tuesday and Monday, August 27. The summer reading program is an essential part of building children's vocabulary and preventing summer learning loss.
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 15
ADAM JONES TO RECEIVE THE HEART AND HUSTLE AWARD
Orioles outfielder ADAM JONES will be presented with the Orioles' 2018 Heart and Hustle Award by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) prior to Wednesday night's game. This esteemed award is voted on by Alumni players to honor active players who demonstrate a passion for the game of baseball and best embody the values, spirit, and tradition of the game. This will be Jones' sixth time receiving the award, which he also won in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. Orioles Hall of Famer and current MASN broadcaster, MIKE BORDICK, will present Jones with the award.
VIRGINIA TECH UNIVERSITY NIGHT
Students, alumni, and supporters of Virginia Tech will be in attendance on Wednesday to celebrate Virginia Tech Night at Oriole Park, one of nearly a dozen University Nights this season. Ticket packages include a game ticket and a co-branded Orioles cap featuring Virginia Tech's colors and logo. CEREMONIAL FIRST PICH: Alicia Graf Mack
The Orioles will welcome Maryland-native and newly-appointed dance director for The Juilliard School, ALICIA GRAF MACK, to throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Wednesday's game. A native of Columbia, Md., Graf Mack has danced as a guest performer with Beyoncé, John Legend, Andre 3000, and Alicia Keys, and at other events including the Chicago Dancing Festival, and the 2017 Kennedy Center Honors. Graf Mack is also co-founder of D(n)A Arts Collective, an initiative created to enrich the lives of young dancers through master classes and intensives.
