Colorado Rockies placed right-handed pitcher Scott Oberg on paternity list

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have placed right-handed pitcher Scott Oberg on the paternity list and have recalled infielder Garrett Hampson from Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have placed right-handed pitcher Scott Oberg on the paternity list and have recalled infielder Garrett Hampson from Triple-A Albuquerque.
 
•  Hampson, 23, will be making his second stint on the active roster this season … had his contract selected from Triple-A Albuquerque July 21 and made his Major League debut that night in Arizona in a start at second base … recorded his first career hit, a double, off Zack Godley in the fifth inning … played seven games (six starts) in his first Major League stint, and batted .300 (6-for-20) with one run, one double, one triple, two RBI, four walks and one stolen base … the Reno, Nev., native was originally selected by Colorado in the third round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft out of Long Beach State. 
•  Oberg, 28, is 7-0 with a 3.12 ERA (34.2 IP, 12 ER), 10 walks and 29 strikeouts in 35 appearances this season … his seven wins as a reliever rank first in the National League, tied for third in the Majors … the Tewksbury, Mass., native was originally selected by Colorado in the 15th round of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft and is11-6 with two saves, a 4.67 ERA (177.1 IP, 92 ER), 76 walks and 148 strikeouts since his Major League debut on April 14, 2015 vs. San Francisco.
