Following today's series finale at Detroit, the Chicago White Sox optioned outfielder Ryan LaMarre to Class AAA Charlotte.
LaMarre, 29, is batting .273 (6-22) with one double, one home run and two RBI in nine games over two stints with the White Sox after being claimed off waivers from Minnesota on July 9. He connected on his first major-league home run last night, a solo shot in the second inning off Blaine Hardy. LaMarre is hitting .264 (32-121) with six doubles, one home run, 10 RBI and nine runs scored in 51 combined games this season between the White Sox and Twins.
Chicago will make a corresponding roster move prior to Friday's series opener vs. Kansas City.
