Cleveland, OH -- The Cleveland Indians announced today a new partnership with Lyft, the fastest growing rideshare company in the U.S.
Lyft provides Tribe fans a responsible and reliable ride, allowing them to enjoy the game and eliminate the pain of parking.
"We are thrilled to be the official rideshare partner of the Cleveland Indians and look forward to providing convenient and reliable transportation for fans headed to and from games," said Jay Dumaswala, Lyft's Cleveland market manager. "The Indians are beloved by Clevelanders, and we're honored to partner with the organization to make the gameday experience even better by eliminating the stress of parking and allowing fans to focus on what matters the most - the game."
Through the partnership, Lyft will have a dedicated pickup and drop-off area on Erie Ct. for fans to easily get a ride to and from Progressive Field. Dedicated signage will be in the area to easily alert fans to the designated location.
Lyft service will begin immediately, giving fans attending the Baltimore series (Aug. 17-19) the opportunity to utilize the new location. New Lyft users can use the code NEWTRIBE for $5 off their first two rides when they download the Lyft app for the first time on all Apple and Android devices.
The Indians join the St. Louis Cardinals as the only other exclusive Lyft partner in Major League Baseball.
