The annual African American Community Night at Great American Ball Park is Friday, Sept. 7, when the Reds take on the San Diego Padres at 6:40 p.m..
The Reds are partnering with Cincinnati-based Originalitees to offer an exclusive t-shirt for the African American Community Night ticket package.

Featured in pre-game ceremonies: 
• Gwen Robinson-Benning will receive the African American Community Advocate Award presented by TriHealth. This is one of seven Community Advocate Awards given this season to celebrate and recognize business representatives, community leaders and civil servants in our community who advocate connection and inclusion. 
• Jason & Tiffany Dunn and family will be honored as the Midwest Regional Black Family Reunion Family of the Year. 
• Cincinnati's First Ladies For Health will be recognized for service to their congregations and the community. The First Ladies For Health Project is a volunteer group that leverages the leadership of the First Ladies (Pastors' wives from over 35 local churches) along with Dena Cranley and representatives of the churches to help their parishioners and community make informed decisions about their health. Their 4th annual Family Health Day is October 14 featuring free health screenings and flu shots for the entire family at various location across the city.
Cincinnati's King Records 'World's Largest Twist Dance' (after the game and before the fireworks)
• Postgame dance party celebrating the 60th anniversary of the hit song "The Twist" that was written and recorded in 1959 by Hank Ballard at Cincinnati's King Records. 
• Fans are encouraged to show off their moves for the largest gathering of people dancing the Twist. Chubby Checker recorded a note-for-note cover of "The Twist" in 1960 that introduced the song to audiences nationwide through TV appearances. Be part of the fun and claim Cincinnati as the birthplace of the Twist.
Post-game fireworks show set to a soundtrack of Motown, classic hip-hop and R&B music.
