Angels announce 2019 season schedule

The Angels today announced their schedule for the 2019 regular season which, for the third consecutive year begins in Oakland, with a four-game set against the A's March 28-April 31. After concluding their opening road trip with a brief-two game trip to Seattle, the Halos home opener will take place against the Texas Rangers on Thursday, April 4th. A finalized 2019 schedule, complete with game times, will be released later this year.

The Angels today announced their schedule for the 2019 regular season which, for the third consecutive year begins in Oakland, with a four-game set against the A's March 28-March 31. After concluding their opening road trip with a brief two-game trip to Seattle, the Halos home opener will take place against the Texas Rangers on Thursday, April 4th. A finalized 2019 schedule, complete with game times, will be released later this year.
The initial homestand for the Halos will feature four games against the Rangers and then the Angels will welcome the Milwaukee Brewers to Angel Stadium (April 8-10) for the first time since 2013. The club will then depart for a six-game road trip, beginning at Wrigley Field vs. the Cubs (April 12-14) before wrapping up in Texas (April 15-17).  
The 2019 season will also see the Angels play two games against the Houston Astros at the Edsatio de Béisbol in Monterrey, MX, home to the Sultanes de Monterrey of the Mexican League. The two-game series will feature the Angels as the home team. The Halos will travel to play internationally (other than Canada) for the first time since 2003 when they squared off against the Montreal Expos in Puerto Rico.
The Angels 2019 schedule features 12 homestands, including a season-long nine games May 17-26 when the Kansas City Royals, Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers visit Angel Stadium. The Halos' home slate includes a four-game series with the New York Yankees (April 22-25), a two-game set with the cross-town rival Dodgers (June 10-11) and three games against the current A.L. East division leading Boston Red Sox (Aug. 30-Sept. 1). For the third consecutive year, the Angels will conclude the season at home.  
Additionally, the club will make 12 road trips in 2019. Among those treks will be an 11-game effort, spanning from June 13-23 where the Angels will travel to Tampa Bay, Toronto and end with Albert Pujols' first trip back to St. Louis (June 21-23) since signing with the Angels in 2012.
The 2019 Interleague schedule calls for the Angels to play 20 games against the National League, including 16 against the N.L. Central and four against the Dodgers. The Angels will play host to the Milwaukee Brewers (April 8-10), Dodgers (June 10-11), the Cincinnati Reds (June 25-26) and the Pittsburgh Pirates (Aug. 12-14) while making Interleague stops in Chicago (April 12-14), St. Louis (June 21-23), Los Angeles (July 23-24) and Cincinnati (Aug. 5-6).
