The Houston Strong Series, which will take place Sept. 3-5 when the Astros take on the Minnesota Twins, will honor the brave first responders and community members that supported the City of Houston during Hurricane Harvey, which made landfall roughly one year ago. The Houston Strong Series will commemorate the devastating storm and its impact on the community, but more so highlight the resiliency, compassion and unity Houstonians demonstrated during one of the most challenging times in the city's history.

Throughout the series, the Astros will pay tribute to first responders and give fans the opportunity to purchase "Stay Strong" Houston Strong T-Shirts for only $10, the proceeds of which will benefit the Astros Foundation. Fans must have a game ticket in order to purchase the commemorative T-shirt.

The Astros are donating 3,000 tickets for each game of the Houston Strong Series to local first responders. Additionally, Astros players will wear the iconic Houston Strong patches on their jerseys throughout the three-game series.

On Tuesday, Sept. 4, the Astros and Community Leader LyondellBasell are teaming up for First Responders Appreciation Night at the ballpark. At gates, 10,000 fans will receive a Houston Strong First Responders Coin giveaway. First Responders from the Houston region will participate in an on-field, pregame ceremony by presenting a giant American flag in the outfield and lining the base paths with Astros players and coaches during a special pregame ceremony. Additionally, 1,000 tickets were distributed to local first responders for Tuesday's game, courtesy of LyondellBasell.
