OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Oakland A's recalled right-handed pitcher Ryan Dull and outfielder Nick Martini from Triple-A Nashville, the club announced today.
Dull joins the A's for the sixth time this year and has a 5.31 ERA and .273 opponents batting average in 22 relief appearances. He was recalled most recently Aug. 28, pitched 2.0 scoreless innings on Aug. 29 at Houston and was optioned back to Nashville Aug. 30. Dull pitched once for the Sounds following his option on Sept. 1 (1.2 ip, 1 h, 1 so) and is 3-2 with a save and a 3.54 ERA in 23 outings overall at Triple-A.
Martini is batting .257 with 12 RBI over three stints with the Oakland. He batted .275 in 34 games during his most recent stint from July 7 to Aug. 29. Martini went 0-for-10 with two walks in three games with Nashville following his Aug. 30 option and batted .297 with six home runs, 40 RBI and a .406 on-base percentage in 76 games overall.
