Today's Twins – Royals game postponed

Game to be made up Saturday, June 30 at 12:10 p.m.

MINNEAPOLIS – ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Twins announced that today’s (Saturday, April 28) game against the Kansas City Royals has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up on Saturday, June 30 at 12:10 p.m. as part of a split day-night doubleheader (gates open at 10 a.m.) The game scheduled for 6:10 p.m. on Saturday, June 30 will be played at its originally-scheduled time (gates open at 5 p.m.).

Fans holding tickets to today’s (April 28) postponed game have two options:

1.)    Utilize their tickets for admission into the rescheduled game (June 30).

2.)    Exchange their tickets for a comparable (if available) ticket to an upcoming non-premium game during the 2012 regular season.  Fans who wish to exchange their tickets must mail the tickets along with their return address to the Target Field Ticket Office to receive a voucher. Tickets for exchange must be received at the Target Field Ticket Office by May 21. Vouchers may be redeemed only at the Target Field Ticket Office located on Target Plaza off 7th Street. Fans must include their return address information to be mailed a voucher.

Tickets for the postponed game are not subject to refunds.

Fans are encouraged to visit www.twinsbaseball.com, call 612-33-TWINS or 800-33-TWINS, or visit the Target Field Box Office during normal business hours for detailed information on the Twins’ rainout policy, which is outlined below.

Target Field Rainout Policy

In the event a regulation game, as defined by Major League Baseball (i.e. 4 1/2 innings if the Twins are ahead and five full innings if the visiting team is ahead or the game is tied), is not played due to weather, an act of God or any other reason, the following policy will apply:

The game will be:

A. Rescheduled to an open day, or

B. Rescheduled to a split day-night doubleheader (two separate games on the same date)

Fans holding tickets to a postponed game should keep their tickets as they will be required for admission into the rescheduled game. Fans who wish to exchange their tickets must mail the tickets to the Target Field Box Office to receive a voucher, which can be exchanged for a comparable ticket to an upcoming, non-premium game during the 2012 regular season.

·         Suites, Thomson Reuters Champions Club, Delta SKY360 Legends Club and Budweiser Roof Deck Tickets

Due to their sold out status, tickets in the Suites, Thomson Reuters Champions Club, Delta SKY360 Legends Club and Budweiser Roof Deck will be valid only for the rescheduled game.

·         Season Tickets

Full or Partial Season Tickets are valid for the rescheduled game or may be mailed in and exchanged for a comparable (if available) ticket to an upcoming, non-premium game during the 2012 regular season.

·         Group Tickets

Group Tickets are valid for the rescheduled game or may be mailed in and exchanged for a comparable (if available) ticket to an upcoming, non-premium game during the 2012 regular season.

·         Single-Game Tickets

Single-game tickets are valid for the rescheduled game or may be mailed in and exchanged for a comparable (if available) ticket to an upcoming, non-premium game during the 2012 regular season.
