Mets sign LHP Ryan O'Rourke to a Minor League contract

The New York Mets announced today that the club has signed LHP Ryan O'Rourke to a minor league contract and invited him to major league spring training.

The New York Mets announced today that the club has signed LHP Ryan O'Rourke to a minor league contract and invited him to major league spring training. 
O'Rourke, 30, has appeared in 54 major league games from 2015-2016 with the Minnesota Twins, posting a 4.98 ERA (26 earned runs/47.0 innings) with 48 strikeouts.
He posted a 1.26 ERA (two earned runs/14.1 innings) with one walk and 21 strikeouts in 15 combined games in Baltimore's minor league system in 2018. O'Rourke missed all of 2017 and most of 2018 after undergoing Tommy John surgery in May, 2017.
O'Rourke was originally drafted by the Twins in the 13th round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft. He has 386 strikeouts in 371.2 career minor league innings.
