The Los Angeles Dodgers will host their third annual Pop-Up Museum presented by Mastercard beginning this Saturday, Nov. 24 on the Left Field Reserve. Tickets for the museum, which will run through February 2019, are available now at Dodgers.com/Museum.
This unique experience will celebrate the life and legacy of Jackie Robinson in honor of his upcoming 100th birthday as well as the Dodgers' inaugural class of inductees into the Legends of Dodger Baseball: Don Newcombe, Steve Garvey and Fernando Valenzuela. Starting in 2019, the team will induct Dodger greats into the Legends of Dodger Baseball in recognition of their impact on the franchise, both on and off the field. The pieces on display at the pop-up museum will come from Gary Cypres' world-renowned sports memorabilia collection as well as items on loan from the players' personal archives.
Exhibit highlights include:
• Jackie Robinson Game-Used Jersey and Cap
• Fernando Valenzuela Game-Used Jersey and Warm-Up Jacket
• Don Newcombe's 1956 Cy Young Award
• Steve Garvey's 1974 MVP Award
The exhibit will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., with additional holiday openings daily from Dec. 24-January 6, excluding Christmas, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The Museum will also be open to fans on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 21) and President's Day (Feb. 18).
Admission is $15, and fans can purchase tickets in person at the museum doors or in advance by visiting Dodgers.com/Museum. A visit to the pop-up museum will also be built into all Stadium Tours on exhibit dates. More information on Dodger Stadium tours can be found at Dodgers.com/Tours.
Fans are encouraged to allow for approximately 45 minutes to enjoy the entire museum and to sync up their visits to coincide with interactive talks about the museum's memorabilia with Dodger Stadium tour guides, which take place at the bottom of every hour starting at 11:30 a.m.
