The San Francisco Giants announced today that they have agreed to terms on a one-year Major League contract with free agent pitcher Pat Venditte. Per club policy, financial terms were not disclosed.  
Venditte, 33, appeared in 15 games with the Dodgers in 2018, posting a 2.57 ERA (4er, 14.0ip) with a .212 opponents average against. Over his final 10 games with Los Angeles, he threw 9.2-scoreless innings, allowing only three hits and two walks. Venditte appeared in 45 games with triple-A Oklahoma City, going 4-2 with a 1.75 ERA (10er, 51.1ip) and a 0.85 WHIP.
The Omaha, Nebraska native has appeared in 56 big league games between Oakland (2015), Toronto (2016), Seattle (2016) and Los Angeles-NL (2018) and owns a 2-2 record with a 4.45 ERA (32er, 64.2ip). The ambidextrous relief pitcher has had more success against lefties holding them to a .186 average (21-for-113), while right-handers have hit .277 (36-for-130) off him over his Major League career.
With today's addition, the Giants 40-man roster is now at 38 players.
