Marlins wives vs Rays wives Citrus Cup softtball game
Marlins wives to play Tampa Bay wives in a charity softball game, Saturday June 9 at 5:30pm at Marlins Park
On Saturday June 9 at 5:30pm the Marlins wives will play the Tampa Bay wives in a charity softball game at 5:30pm. The game will take place on the field at Marlins Park and is open to the public. The game is benefitting Shake-A-Leg Miami and Autism Speaks Tampa Bay Charter. Each team will raise funds for their charity of choice through individual pledges for every hit recorded during the game. The game is being sponsored by Sun Sports and the winning team will receive $1,500 for the team’s charity of choice.
The Marlins Foundation will match the funds raised by the Marlins Wives and present a check to Shake A Leg Miami at the conclusion of the game.
Shake-A-Leg Miami is one of five local Marlins “Charity Partners”. Shake-A-Leg Miami uses the marine environment to improve the health, education, independence and quality of life for all with an emphasis on individuals with physical, developmental, and economic challenges.
