Giants welcome Rangers and Astros to town

Homestand features: Giants Super Hero cap and Giants cap giveaways

The San Francisco Giants return to AT&T Park for a six-game homestand against the Texas Rangers, June 8-10 and the Houston Astros, June 12-14.

Friday, June 8, is Native American Heritage Night at AT&T Park. Fans will be able to enjoy Native American cultural performers outside in Willie Mays Plaza prior to the game. Also, Natalee Righetti, daughter of Giants pitching coach Dave Righetti, will be signing copies of her new book, Beautifully Different, at the Giants Community Clubhouse on the Promenade Level behind home plate before the game from 6-7 p.m.  In addition, Giants players Jeremy Affeldt and Brandon Belt will participate in a home plate ceremony with Dignity Health and Not For Sale to bring awareness to the issue of human trafficking.

On Saturday, June 9, the first 7,500 kids 14 & under will receive a Giants Super Hero Cape presented by Powerade. It is also the first of two Wine Fest Special Events of the year, where fans can attend a pregame wine tasting event in Seals Plaza with music and also walk away with a Mike Krukow collector’s Bobble-Stopper.

Following the game the Giants Wives will hold a Silent Auction durin the game at the Community Clubhouse and a Post-Game Live Auction on top of the Giants Dugout.  One-of-a-kind player experiences, including a pitching lesson with Matt Cain, and unique player baskets filled with many of the players favorite things will be auctioned off to raise money for the Giants Community Fund, the George Mark Children’s House, a hospice home for children and Mark Gardner's Step to the Plate Foundation.

Sunday, June 10, the first 20,000 fans will receive a Giants Cap presented by Dignity Health. Dignity Health and the Giants will also recognize a group of breast cancer survivors and women touched by the disease who will climb Mt. Shasta as part of the Breast Cancer Fund’s mission of prevention. Following the game, kids 14 & under are invited to run the bases.

On Tuesday, June 12, the Houston Astros come to the Shores of McCovey Cove for a three-game series. That night is Irish Heritage Night at AT&T Park, as all special event ticket holders will receive a collector's edition bobblehead of Northern Irish golfer, Rory McIlroy, who will be in attendance to throw out that night's first pitch. Cultural performers will also be performaing at the festival for special event ticket holders in Seals Plaza and on the field prior to the game.

It is also Say Hey Tuesday as CSN Bay Area will host Chronicle Live from Willie Mays Plaza. Fans are invited to come out early and watch their favorite sports analysts.

On Wednesday, June 13, the Giants have partnered with TaylorMade Golf to create an unique golf expo featuring one of the world’s top 20 golfers and longest drivers in professional golf, Dustin Johnson.  Fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive a Giants logo driver cover.  Johnson will hold a golf exposition, for media and invited guests only, prior to the Giants batting practice.  He will also throw out the game’s ceremonial first pitch.  Fans can visit O’Doul Plaza for interactive golf exhibits from TaylorMade Golf.

Also, that night the Giants are hosting the first ever “Off The Cove” a partnership with food truck specialists, “Off The Grid”. Terry Francois Blvd will be filled with up to twenty various food trucks. Information can be found at www.sfgiants.com/specialevents.
