Astros sign eight more Draft picks

Houston has signed 18 total selections from 2012 MLB Draft

HOUSTON, TX -- Today the Houston Astros announced the signing of eight more selections from the 2012 MLB First Year Player Draft:

RHP Daniel Minor (9th round), OF Daniel Gulbransen (16th round), RHP Aaron West (17th round), IF Austin Elkins (19th round), IF Angel Ibanez (28th round), RHP Christian Garcia (29th round), RHP Jordan Jankowski (34th round), RHP Michael Dimock (37th round).

Contract terms were not disclosed. Astros Assistant General Manager/Director of Scouting Bobby Heck made the official announcement.  

On Thursday, the Astros announced the signing of 17-year-old SS Carlos Correa, who was the first overall selection in the entire draft. The Astros have now signed 18 of their 41 Draft picks.  See the attached release for a listing of all 18 players signed players.
