Royals and Astros complete March 20 trade

Outfielder D’Andre Toney is Player to Be Named

The Kansas City Royals and Houston Astros today announced that minor league outfielder D’Andre Toney was traded to Houston as the player to be named in the March 20 deal that sent catcher Humberto Quintero and outfielder Jason Bourgeois to the Royals for minor league left-handed pitcher Kevin Chapman.

Toney, 20, was on the Surprise Royals (R) roster and has been assigned to the Greeneville Astros of the Appalachian League.  He made his professional debut last season with Surprise after being selected by Kansas City in the 14th round of the 2011 Draft.
