Harold Reynolds throws out Saturday’s ceremonial first pitch

Former Seattle Mariners second baseman and MLB Network host Harold Reynolds will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Mariners vs. San Francisco Giants game on Saturday, June 16. Game time is 7:10pm. Saturday is also Fight Hunger Night and fans are encouraged to donate to Northwest Harvest.

Reynolds, a Corvallis, Oregon, native, played for the Mariners from 1983-1992. During his time at the Mariners, Reynolds was a two-time All-Star (1987, 1988), three-time Gold Glove winner (1988, 1989, 1990), and in 1991, he received Major League Baseball’s highest off field honor, the Roberto Clemente Award. He was also named one of President George H.W. Bush’s Thousand Points of Light for his contributions to the community (1990).

An Emmy Award winning broadcaster, Reynolds now serves as a studio analyst for MLB Network. Reynolds also served as a studio analyst for ESPN from 1996-2006, where he won an Emmy in 2003.

Reynolds debuted with the Mariners in 1983 and spent 10 of his 12 MLB seasons with the club. In 1987, Reynolds led the American League in steals, and is among the Mariners career leaders in 10 offensive categories. Reynolds also played with the Baltimore Orioles (1993) and California Angels (1994).

Reynolds was invited back to Seattle as part of the Mariners 35^th Anniversary celebration, a season-long tribute to the franchise’s history in which former Mariners are welcomed back to Seattle for special appearances and promotions at Safeco Field.
