White Sox announce upcoming series activities

WHAT: Chicago White Sox promotional highlights, giveaways and ceremonial first pitches for the series vs. Milwaukee.  Tickets for all three games of the series are available at whitesox.com, the U.S. Cellular Field ticket office and all Ticketmaster locations.  This series marks the first visit by the Brewers to the South Side of Chicago since 2000.

Friday's game will be televised on Comcast SportsNet Chicago, while FOX (WFLD-TV) will broadcast Saturday's game.  Sunday's game will be televised on WGN-TV.  All three games will air on WSCR-AM 670 (The Score), the White Sox flagship radio station, and 97.5 FM ESPN Deportes, the White Sox Spanish-language radio affiliate.

National Anthem by Danny McHugh from the new musical comedy "Rock of Ages"
Ceremonial first pitch by retired professional wrestler and now television host, Shawn Michaels
Ceremonial first pitch by singer-songwriter, Ne-Yo
Ceremonial first pitch by Ray Mabus, Secretary of the Navy

Danny McHugh, actor who plays Joey Primo in "Rock of Ages," the new hit musical comedy, which is playing at the Broadway Playhouse from June 5 - August 5, will perform the National Anthem.  He is performing in celebration of Mullet Night.

Shawn Michaels, co-host of "Shawn Michaels' MacMillan River Adventures" on the Outdoor Channel, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.  

Ne-Yo, R&B singer-songwriter, record producer, dancer and actor, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.  

Ray Mabus, the 75th United States Secretary of the Navy, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.  

Great Clips will be cutting hair and selling mullet wigs on the ballpark's 100-level and 500-level to benefit Chicago White Sox Charities and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

After the game, fans will enjoy a spectacular fireworks show, presented by Great Clips.


Saturday, June 23, 6:15 p.m. vs. Milwaukee

National Anthem by Gerald Chaney
Ceremonial first pitch by Steve Novak, NBA player

Gerald Chaney from Chicago will perform the National Anthem.

Steve Novak, Wisconsin-native, Marquette University graduate and NBA forward will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.  Novak, who plays forward with the New York Knicks, played alongside Dwyane Wade during Marquette's 2003 Final Four run.  Originally from Brown Deer, Wis., Novak proposed to his wife Christina six years ago at U.S. Cellular Field.

After the game, fans will enjoy a spectacular fireworks show with a 1960s and 1970s theme, presented by U.S. Cellular Field.

1972 Throwback Sunday
Kids XL 1972 Replica Jersey for first 10,000 children age 13 and under, presented by Pepsi
National Anthem and God Bless America by Ides of March
Ceremonial first pitch by former White Sox great Dick Allen

Ides of March, a popular 70s band from Chicago, will perform the National Anthem and God Bless America.

Dick Allen, White Sox great and member of the 1972 team, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.  

The game also is a throwback Sunday, where the White Sox wear red pinstriped throwback uniforms and red Sox caps, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the 1972 White Sox team.  The White Sox will wear the throwback uniforms during every Sunday home game this season.
