Sagicor Life Insurance Company increases involvement as Rays corporate partner

ST. PETERSBURG, FL—Sagicor Life Insurance Company (Sagicor) returns for a third year as a Rays corporate partner. With their return they will significantly increase their involvement and exposure throughout 2012, while keeping several key elements intact.

“We are proud to announce our relationship with Sagicor Life Insurance continues to grow,” said Rays Senior Vice President Mark Fernandez. “As a Tampa Bay-based company committed to having a positive impact on families throughout the community, they are an ideal partner.”

As a partner, Sagicor will continue to team up with the Rays and All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg to provide enjoyment to patients and staff by sponsoring player visits throughout the season. In addition, they will be recognized at Tropicana Field by new signage on the outfield wall and home plate rotational sign.

Sagicor has become the presenting partner of Tuesday’s Champion, which invites a child diagnosed with a life-threatening illness from either Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Children’s Dream Fund to a Rays game every Tuesday the team is home. The child along with his or her guests receive tickets to a game; a complimentary dinner in the Hancock Bank Club; a personalized jersey and bat; the opportunity to throw out the ceremonial first pitch; and access to Rays batting practice to meet and interact with players and coaches.

“Sagicor Life Insurance Company is proud to sponsor the Tampa Bay Rays,” said Sagicor’s Chief Operating Officer Bart Catmull. “Not only do the Rays provide us with great exposure in the marketplace, but they also help us do great things in the community. We are particularly excited about this season with our increased sponsorship, community involvement and new outfield wall signage. Sagicor is definitely looking forward to another thrilling season of Rays baseball.”
