Twins place Capps on 15-day disabled list

Robertson recalled From Triple-A Rochester

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed right-handed pitcher Matt Capps on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation (retroactive to June 24).

To replace Capps on the 25-man roster, the Twins have recalled left-handed pitcher Tyler Robertson from Triple-A Rochester.  In 33 relief appearances for the Red Wings, Robertson went 2-2 with two saves and a 3.77 ERA (28.2 ip, 12 er) while striking out 33 batters.  Robertson, who was drafted by the Twins in the third round of the 2006 First-Year Player draft, is looking to make his Major League debut.

Robertson will wear uniform number 64.
