Cardinals Minor Leaguer Swinson suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that St. Louis Cardinals Minor League outfielder Mike Swinson has been suspended for 50 games without pay after testing positive for Methylhexanimine, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The suspension of Swinson, who is currently on the roster of the Single-A Palm Beach Cardinals of the Florida State League, is effective immediately.
