The Cleveland Indians today announced the club has recalled RHP COREY KLUBER from the Triple-A Columbus Clippers.  To allow room on the Major League roster for Kluber the club designated RHP DEREK LOWE for assignment.

He is currently leading the International League in strikeouts (128, 9.2K/9.0IP), is tied for first in wins (11) and 5th in innings pitched (125.1IP).  The Stetson (FL) University product was acquired by Cleveland from San Diego in a July 2010 trade that sent RHP Jake Westbrook to St. Louis.  He will make his first Major League start tonight after making three relief appearances for Cleveland last September.
