White Sox announce weekend series activities

Chicago White Sox promotional highlights, giveaways and ceremonial first pitches for this weekend's series vs. Los Angeles Angels. Tickets are available at whitesox.com, the U.S. Cellular Field ticket office and all Ticketmaster locations.

The games on Friday and Sunday will be televised on Comcast SportsNet Chicago, while WGN-TV will broadcast the game on Saturday. All three games will air on WSCR-AM 670 (The Score), the White Sox flagship radio station, and on 97.5 FM ESPN Deportes, the White Sox Spanish-language radio affiliate.

Friday, August 3, 7:10 p.m. vs. Los Angeles Angels
Elvis Night and Fireworks presented by Frito-Lay

, award-winning and world-renown Elvis tribute artist, will perform the National Anthem. He also will perform an Elvis tribute set outside Gate 4 before the game, as well as on-field post-game.

After the game, fans will enjoy a spectacular fireworks show set to a soundtrack of The King's greatest hits, courtesy of Frito-Lay.

In celebration of Elvis Night, the first 400 people to purchase tickets through the Save of the Week Promotion can participate in a pre-game parade around the warning track (weather permitting). There will be an inflatable Elvis head outside Gate 3 for photo opportunities. Fans can purchase Elvis glasses, wigs and leis at the Elvis Night Party Shop located at Gate 4 before the game and in section 159 through the middle of the third inning. After the game, skydivers from The Frog - X Parachute Team from NixG Skydiving and Entertainment will descend from the sky into U.S. Cellular Field wearing Elvis attire. Mystique Productions will perform a "Viva Las Vegas" style showgirl performance.

Great Clips will be cutting hair in sections 107, 157, 158 and 529 to benefit Chicago White Sox Charities and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Homewood Flossmoor Summer Choir will perform the National Anthem.

The first 20,000 fans in attendance age 21 and over will receive a Beer Vendor Bobblehead, courtesy of Miller Lite.

, 2012 Lollapalooza performer from Wheeling (Ill.) who placed third in the 10th season of American Idol, will sing the National Anthem and God Bless America.

The first 10,000 fans in attendance age 13 and under will receive a Kids Chest Protector Backpack, courtesy of Chicagoland Plumbing Council.

One hour after the game, fans have the opportunity to join White Sox players and coaches for Picnic in the Park, where fans can enjoy a picnic in the outfield grass of U.S. Cellular Field, gather autographs, bid on premium auction items, play catch, participate in games with the Pride Crew and take photos with mascot Southpaw. All attendees will enjoy an upscale barbecue buffet, provided by Levy Restaurants, and have the rare opportunity to watch the White Sox signature firework display from the outfield grass. Tickets are available at whitesox.com, $260 per adult and $135 per child, and all proceeds will benefit White Sox Charities. The event will end at dusk.

The game also is a throwback Sunday, where the White Sox wear red pinstriped throwback uniforms and red Sox caps, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the 1972 White Sox team. The White Sox will wear the throwback uniforms during every Sunday home game this season.
