Nationals agree to terms with four international free agents

The Washington Nationals have agreed to terms on professional contracts with four international free agents: right-handed pitcher Ramses Rosario and outfielders Aldrem Corredor, Darryl Florentino and Luis Guzman. Nationals Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo and Nationals Director of International Scouting Johnny DiPuglia made the joint announcement.

Rosario, a 16-year-old righthander from Venezuela, stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 175 pounds. He has advanced pitching instincts and commands three quality pitches.

Corredor (6-foot-1, 170 lbs) possesses a left-handed power bat, demonstrates exceptional plate discipline and can play both corner-outfield positions. The 16-year-old is a native of Venezuela.

Florentino, 16 from the Dominican Republic, is an exceptional defender with a strong throwing arm, above-average speed and an athletic frame (6-foot-2, 180 lbs).

A prototypical leadoff hitter, Guzman has demonstrated a powerful bat and projects as a superior defensive outfielder. The Dominican Republic native stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 183 pounds.
