Kevin Youkilis to host fundraiser
All proceeds to benefit "Youk's Kids" nonprofit organization
Chicago White Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis will host a fundraiser to benefit "Youk's Kids," his nonprofit organization, on August 23. The event will take place at Howl and the Moon in Chicago from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and feature local celebrities, auctions, raffles and live dueling pianos.
Youkilis launched Youk's Kids in 2007 to raise awareness and support for children in need. "Athletes for Heroes," the organization's newest initiative, provides grants to children of fallen and disabled men and women of service in an effort to aid their participation in athletic and academic activities.
Main event tickets, which include complimentary food, beverages and a Music Hits Home CD, are available for $50, while VIP tickets, which include a special VIP giveaway item and an autographed Kevin Youkilis photo, can be purchased for $100.
