White Sox Announce Weekend Series Activities

Chicago White Sox promotional highlights, giveaways and ceremonial first pitches for this weekend’s series vs. Oakland.  Tickets are available at whitesox.com, the U.S. Cellular Field ticket office and all Ticketmaster locations.

The games on Friday and Sunday will be televised on Comcast SportsNet Chicago, while WGN-TV will broadcast the game on Saturday.  All three games will air on WSCR-AM 670 (The Score), the White Sox flagship radio station, and on 97.5 FM ESPN Deportes, the White Sox Spanish-language radio affiliate.

Fans attending games this weekend, as well as those following from home, can participate in two live auctions culminating White Sox Charities Week.  The specially televised in-game online auctions, one Saturday and one Sunday, feature unique and premium prizes, White Sox memorabilia and VIP experiences.

National Anthem by Cheyenne Rose

Ceremonial first pitch by Ramblin’ Ray, US99.5

Ramblin’ Ray Stevens, a Chicago country radio personality on US99.5, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

Cheyenne Rose will perform the National Anthem.

Greg Bates, Big Machine Label Group country music artist whose debut single, “Did It For The Girl” is Top 30 and rising on Country radio, will perform an on-field acoustic set before the game.

After the game, fans will enjoy a spectacular fireworks show set to country crossover music, courtesy of Pepsi.

In celebration of Country Music Night, Back Country Roads will perform before the game outside Gate 4, while Jason and the Haymakers will perform outside Gate 5.  US99.5 will entertain fans and give away prizes outside Gate 3.  “Those Funny Little People,” as seen on America’s Got Talent, will be available on the concourse for photo opportunities during the game.  Fans can purchase country-themed items at the Country Music Night Party Shop located at Gate 4 before the game and in Section 159 through the third inning.

White Sox Camouflage Cap for first 20,000 fans, presented Outdoor Channel and XFINITY

Mark Zona, on behalf of Outdoor Channel and XFINITY, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

The first 20,000 fans in attendance will receive a White Sox camouflage cap, courtesy of Outdoor Channel and XFINITY.

Sunday, August 12, 1:10 p.m. vs. Oakland

Spirit & Mascot Day

National Anthem by Jen Porter

Jen Porter from Chicago will perform the National Anthem.

In celebration of Spirit & Mascot Day, there will be a Mascot Madness Mingle from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. outside Gate 4, featuring White Sox mascot Southpaw and more than 20 other mascot friends.  The mascots also will participate in several activities throughout the game.

Before the game, Pro Dance Elite will perform outside Gate 4, while other dance and cheer teams perform in Lot A.

The game also is a throwback Sunday, where the White Sox wear red pinstriped throwback uniforms and red Sox caps, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the 1972 White Sox team.  The White Sox will wear the throwback uniforms during every Sunday home game this season.
