White Sox announce upcoming series activities

Chicago White Sox promotional highlights, giveaways and ceremonial first pitches for next week’s series vs. the New York Yankees.  Tickets are available at whitesox.com, the U.S. Cellular Field ticket office and all Ticketmaster locations.

The games on Monday and Tuesday will be televised Comcast SportsNet Chicago, while WCIU-TV will broadcast the game on Wednesday.  All three games will air on WSCR-AM 670 (The Score), the White Sox flagship radio station, and 97.5 FM ESPN Deportes, the White Sox Spanish-language radio affiliate. 

Monday, August 20, 7:10 p.m. vs. New York Yankees

  • Blackhawks Night presented by the Chicago Blackhawks
  • National Anthem by Jim Cornelison
  • Ceremonial first pitch by Joel Quenneville

    Joel Quenneville, Chicago Blackhawks head coach who led the team to a Stanley Cup Championship in 2010, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.  He also will be interviewed by White Sox broadcasters during the third inning.

    Jim Cornelison, full-time National Anthem singer for the Chicago Blackhawks, will perform the National Anthem. 

    In celebration of Blackhawks Night, there will be a party outside Gate 1 featuring the mascot Tommy Hawk, bags, Shoot the Puck, the Blackhawks Ice Crew and more.  The Blackhawks Band will perform from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. outside Gate 4 and again at the top of the fifth inning in the Comcast Fundamentals area.  Face painters will be available in sections 154 and 536. 

Tuesday, August 21, 7:10 p.m. vs. New York Yankees

  • Green Game Powered by Constellation
  • White Sox Reusable Bags for first 10,000 fans, presented by Constellation
  • National Anthem by John Vincent
  • John Vincent from Chicago will perform the National Anthem. 

    The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a White Sox reusable bag, courtesy of Constellation.

    Medina Lake will perform an acoustic set on-field before the game.

 

Wednesday, August 22, 7:10 p.m. vs. New York Yankees

  • Chicago Bulls Night
  • National Anthem by Nathan Pacheco
  • Ceremonial first pitch by Scottie Pippen
  • Scottie Pippen, six-time NBA champion with the Chicago Bulls, Basketball Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

    Nathan Pacheco, Disney Pearl label singer and composer known for his performances with “Yanni Voices” across North America and with Katherine Jenkins in the UK, will perform the National Anthem.  Later this month, he will play a concert live on PBS television, and his debut solo album will launch in September.  Fans can see him perform at the Harris Bank Theater in Chicago on November 13 and download one of his songs for free at whitesox.com.

    In celebration of Chicago Bulls Night, there will be a party outside Gate 1 featuring games such as bags, bowling and connect four, as well as appearances by the Chevrolet Pride Crew and White Sox mascot Southpaw.  Face painters will be available in section 154 and 536. 

    Also, former Olympic softball players who are in town for the 2012 National Pro Fastpitch Championship Series, which will be held from August 23-26 in Rosemont, Ill., will be at the speed pitch machine near section 162 to provide pitching tips and take photos with fans.
