Twins place Span on 15-day disabled list

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed outfielder Denard Span on the 15-day disabled list with a right sternoclavicular joint strain. The move is retroactive to August 28.  Span originally suffered the injury sliding for a ball on August 12 vs. Tampa Bay.

The Twins will make a corresponding roster move prior to their game tomorrow night in Kansas City.
