Giants welcome D-backs, Dodgers to town

SAN FRANCISCO -- The San Francisco Giants return to AT&T Park for a six-game homestand against their division rivals, the Arizona Diamondbacks, September 3-5, and the Los Angeles Dodgers, September 7-9.

Monday, September 3, is the Giants second annual Star Wars Day at AT&T Park. Fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive a Giants Death Star Giveaway.   

Tuesday, September 4, the Giants will host Bruce Lee Tribute Night at AT&T Park. All special event ticket holders will receive a Bruce Lee Bobblehead. Before the game, a USSD Martial Arts demonstration will take place on the field for fans to enjoy. Bruce Lee’s daughter, Shannon Lee, will be singing the National Anthem and throwing out the first pitch will be his widow, Linda Lee Cadwell.

It is also Say Hey Tuesday as CSN Bay Area will host Chronicle Live from Willie Mays Plaza. Fans are invited to come out early and watch their favorite sports analysts.

Wednesday, September 5, is Filipino Heritage Night at AT&T Park, presented by Ligo Sardines. Pre-game entertainment will be held in Seals Plaza from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. All special event ticket holders will receive a Filipino Heritage Night T-shirt.

Also, Wednesday is the first-ever Yoga Day at AT&T Park. In partnership with famed Bay-Area native and world-renowned musician, Michael Franti, and San Francisco’s premier Vinyasa yoga teacher, Janet Stone, the Giants will host a Yoga session on the field from 8:00 a.m.-9:15 a.m. Each fan with a special event ticket will receive a Giants-themed yoga mat.

Friday, September 7, the Los Angeles Dodgers come to AT&T Park for a three-game series. That night the Giants will host their second annual Bill Graham Tribute Night at AT&T Park. Fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive a collector's edition Bill Graham Tribute Night poster.

Saturday, September 8, the Giants will host their annual Fiesta Gigantes with pre-game festivities taking place in Lefty O’Doul Plaza from 10:30-1:00. Giants Hall of Famer, Orlando Cepeda will make an appearance and meet with fans. The first 20,000 fans will receive Angel Pagan Gigantes T-Shirts presented by Bug Zappers.

Saturday is also Fellowship Day. All special event ticket holders will receive a Fellowship-themed Giants T-shirt. After the game, fans are invited to stay for player testimonials, as well as a concert with musician Aaron Shust. 

In addition on Saturday, the Giants Community Fund will hold their annual Sports Memorabilia Auction. Dozens of autographed items and unique experiences will be up for bid at the silent auction during the game at the Community Clubhouse and at the post-game live auction on top of the Giants Dugout. 

Sunday, September 9, is the Giants 15^th annual Strike Out Violence Day at AT&T Park in partnership with the Giants Community Fund, the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department and Futures Without Violence.  In a pre-game ceremony, The Respect Challenge will be launched encouraging fans to share their stories about the person who taught them the meaning of respect. The annual “Jerseys Off Our Giants” raffle will also take place to benefit La Casa de las Madres, a residential shelter for abused women and their children.

Also on Sunday, the Giants have partnered with AMD for the first ever AMD Fast Pitch PC Zone event. Special event ticket holders will receive an AMD A-series Accelerated Processor Unit and are invited to experience a hands-on overview on how you can build your own PC or Home Theater PC in Seals Plaza from 3:00 p.m.-5 p.m. 

Following the game all kids 14-years and younger are invited to come run the bases. Please be advised that ESPN has selected this game as the ESPN Sunday Night Game of the Week. First pitch has been changed from 1:05 p.m. PT to 5:06 p.m. PT.
