White Sox reinstate Alejandro De Aza from disabled list

 

            DETROIT – Prior to tonight’s game at Detroit, the Chicago White Sox returned outfielder Alejandro De Aza from his injury rehabilitation assignment at Class AAA Charlotte and reinstated him from the 15-day disabled list.

            De Aza, 28, was placed on the disabled list on August 21 (retroactive to August 18) with bruised left ribs.  He appeared in four games with Charlotte during his rehab assignment, going 5-16 (.313) with one home run and two RBI.

            De Aza is hitting .281 (125-445) with five triples, six homers, 44 RBI, 73 runs scored and 21 stolen bases over 111 games this season.  He is tied for ninth in the American League in triples and tied for 10th in steals.

With the moves, the White Sox active roster increases to 32.
