A’s place 3B Brandon Inge on 15-day disabled list

OAKLAND, Calif. – The Oakland A’s placed third baseman Brandon Inge on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right shoulder, the club announced today.

 

Inge was batting 226 with 11 home runs and 52 RBI in 74 games with the A’s and had a .218 batting average with 12 home runs and 54 RBI in 83 games overall.  He originally injured the shoulder August 11 in Chicago and was placed on the disabled list August 14.  Inge was reinstated September 1 and went 1 for 2 with a double and two RBI that night against Boston before reaggravating his shoulder.  He started a team-leading 74 games at third base for the A’s.
