Tune in Wednesday for “My Favorite Things” Broadcast Auction on FOX Sports Detroit
Proceeds to Benefit Detroit Tigers Foundation
DETROIT – This Wednesday, September 19th, the Detroit Tigers will face the Oakland Athletics at 7:05 p.m. Throughout the game, FOX Sports Detroit will be broadcasting the Detroit Tigers and FOX Sports Detroit "My Favorite Things" basket auction to benefit the Detroit Tigers Foundation, an affiliate of Ilitch Charities. The auction features baskets hand-packed by Tigers Wives filled with their husband’s favorite things. Basket items include restaurant gift cards, movies, snacks, tickets to Tigers games, autographed Tigers items and much more.
The auction also includes baskets filled with the favorite things of your favorite FOX Sports Detroit personalities –Mario Impemba, Rod Allen, Shannon Hogan, John Keating, Craig Monroe and Mickey York. Additionally, fans can bid on PAWS’ “Favorite Things” basket exclusively online!
The four packages below will be auctioned during the broadcast on FOX Sports Detroit and MLB.tv. A full description of each package can be found at tigers.com/wives. The four auction packages include the “My Favorite Things” baskets of Tigers players and FOX Sports Detroit broadcasters:
• Auction Package #1: Quintin Berry, Max Scherzer, Rod Allen and John Keating
• Auction Package #2: Alex Avila, Phil Coke, Jhonny Peralta, Shannon Hogan and Mickey York
• Auction Package #3: Darin Downs, Prince Fielder, Mario Impemba and Craig Monroe
• Online Auction Package: PAWS, Detroit’s Favorite Mascot (online only at tigers.com/wives)
Fans may place a bid or donate by calling the auction hotline at (313) 471-2100 during the Tigers game on September 19. Tigers Wives, FOX Sports Detroit personalities and Tigers front office personnel will answer the auction hotline from the game’s first pitch through the first pitch of the eighth inning. Winners will be announced during the postgame show on FOX Sports Detroit.
In addition to bidding on auction items, fans may make a donation during the auction. The first 50 people to call and donate at least $50 will receive a Tigers and FOX Sports Detroit Autograph prize pack which includes an autographed photo card of a FOX Sports Detroit broadcaster, an autographed photo card of a FOX Sports Detroit Girl and a DVD copy of “Baseball ‘s Greatest Games: Verlander’s 2007 No-Hitter.”
