Blue Jays sign Germano

The Toronto Blue Jays have signed RHP Justin Germano to a minor league contract for 2013 with an invite to Major League Spring Training.

Germano, 30, appeared in 13 games, including 12 starts for the Chicago Cubs and one relief appearance for the Boston Red Sox, posting a 2-10 record with a 6.20 ERA. Over 93 career games, including 48 starts over seven seasons with San Diego, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Boston and Chicago, the Pasadena, California native is 10-30 with a 5.27 ERA.
