Jose Bautista headlines first leg of Winter Tour

The Toronto Blue Jays Winter Tour presented by TD is ready to embark on another journey after conducting an amateur clinic in Toronto on January 5. Since the re-launch of the Winter Tour in 2010 the club’s vision of promoting baseball across the country continues with the 2013 tour. Following the clinic in Toronto the tour will see stops in Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Edmonton. JOSE BAUTISTA, the Major League leader in home runs since 2010 headlines the Toronto and Winnipeg tour stops.  ADAM LIND will join Jose in Toronto, while LHP’s BRETT CECIL and AARON LOUP will appear in both Toronto and Winnipeg. In addition Bench Coach DEMARLO HALE, Hitting Coach CHAD MOTTOLA and Bullpen Coach PAT HENTGEN will be available to media in Toronto

Saturday, January 5

Media availability: open to all media, 10:00 am to 10:30 am

Where: Rogers Centre, on field prior to amateur baseball clinic, media to enter via Gate 9.

Who: Jose Bautista, Adam Lind, Brett Cecil, Aaron Loup, Demarlo Hale, Chad Mottola, Pat Hentgen and select Blue Jays alumni.

 

WINNIPEG

Sunday, January 6

Autograph session: Polo Park Shopping Centre, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm.

Who: Jose Bautista, Brett Cecil, Aaron Loup.

 

Sunday, January 6

Training Session: MTS Iceplex, 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

Who: Bryan King (Blue Jays strength and conditioning coordinator), Jose Bautista, Brett Cecil, Aaron Loup with two local minor league baseball teams.
