Astros Spring Training tickets on sale Saturday

2013 Spring Home Opener will be Sunday, February 24

Individual tickets for 2013 Astros Spring Training home games will be available for purchase by the public on Saturday, January 19, beginning at 9 a.m. CST.

The Astros first home game for the 2013 Grapefruit League season will take place on Sunday, February 24 vs. the New York Mets at 12:05 p.m. (CST) at Osceola County Stadium in Kissimmee, FL. This year marks Houston's 29th season in sunny Kissimmee. Workouts for pitchers and catchers in Kissimmee, which are open to the public at no charge, begin on February 12. Position player workouts begin on February 16.

Tickets, which are priced similarly to last spring, can be purchased in several ways: online at www.astros.com; at the Osceola County Stadium box office (home games only) starting January 28; by telephone at (800) 745-3000 and in person at Florida Ticketmaster outlets (home and road games). The box office is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (EST) and on all game days.

Osceola County Stadium ticket prices for individual games are: $26 for Dugout Box Seats, $22 for Outfield Box Seats, $20 for Upper Reserved Seats and $15 for Outfield Reserved Seats. Please note that tickets to any of the three premium games (Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, New York Yankees) are $10 higher per Outfield Box, Upper Reserve, or Outfield Reserve ticket, and $8 higher per Dugout Box ticket. Games against the Detroit Tigers are $3 higher per Outfield Box, Upper Reserve, or Outfield Reserve ticket, and $1 higher per Dugout Box ticket.

ATTRACTIVE SCHEDULE
The Astros Spring Training schedule includes 16 home dates, with nine of those games landing on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, making it convenient for Houstonians traveling to Florida in February and March.

Spring Training in Kissimmee kicks off against a familiar N.L. opponent, the New York Mets, on Sunday, February 24. The Astros then host the American League Champion Detroit Tigers (February 26) followed by the A.L. East Champion New York Yankees (February 28). The former division-rival St. Louis Cardinals will be in Kissimmee March 1, followed by the Atlanta Braves (March 2) and the N.L. East Champion Washington Nationals (March 7). The Braves return on Friday, March 8, followed by the Philadelphia Phillies (March 10), the Nationals (March 13), and the Pittsburgh Pirates (March 15). The Astros then face-off against the Toronto Blue Jays (March 17), seeing the Mets (March 20) and the Cardinals (March 22) a second time each, followed by the Miami Marlins (March 24). The Nationals make their third appearance on March 25 and the Tigers close out the Spring home schedule on Thursday, March 28.

ASTROS TO HOST CHICAGO CUBS IN HOUSTON
Following their Florida schedule of games, the Astros will return to Houston to host the Chicago Cubs for two exhibition games on Friday and Saturday, March 29 and 30 at Minute Maid Park, before opening the 2013 Inaugural American League Season at home vs. the Texas Rangers on Sunday, March 31 with a 7:05 p.m. start. Tickets for those exhibition games vs. the Cubs will be available for purchase at Astros FanFest (January 26) at Minute Maid Park, which will take place from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Season tickets for Florida Spring Training games can be purchased now by calling (321) 697-3201. Season ticket prices for all 16 games are as follows: $384 for Dugout Box seats, $320 for Outfield Box seats, $288 for Upper Reserved seats and $240 for Outfield Reserved seats.

Also available for purchase is the "Getaway Weekend Plan," which includes tickets to all five Saturday and Sunday home games and is priced starting at $62.50.
