Texas Rangers launch 2013 advertising campaign

"Hello Win Column!" has prominent role in television and radio commercials

The Texas Rangers this week launch their 2013 advertising campaign with the trademark phrase of a beloved broadcaster having a prominent role.

The campaign seeks to communicate to fans that the Texas Rangers are committed to winning in all facets of the game. As a part of that approach, one of the main themes in the campaign includes "Hello Win Column!", the signature line of the late Rangers Hall of Fame broadcaster, Mark Holtz, who celebrated every Texas victory with that phrase. Holtz was the radio (1982-94) and television (1995-97) voice of the Rangers before his passing in September 1997. He was elected to the Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005.

"There is no better way to sum up the emotional rush of a win than the great Mark Holtz's phrase 'Hello Win Column!,'" said Rangers Chief Operating Officer Rick George.  "That line immediately calls to mind passion and excitement through an honored piece of Rangers broadcasting history."

A majority of the club's television and radio commercials for the 2013 campaign will be voiced by manager Ron Washington or a variety of players and will be accompanied by game-winning highlights.  The Rangers will also introduce a series of fan-focused ads to recognize fans for their daily contributions to Rangers' wins.

The club is expected to introduce a wide variety of television and radio commercials throughout the season.  The spots will air on media buys purchased by the club as well as on the team's television and radio broadcasts. The spots were created produced by Texas Rangers Productions.

The television commercial featuring Ron Washington began airing in the DFW market on Monday. And the spot concludes with the Rangers skipper proclaiming, "Hello Win Column!".
