Run DMC, Steve Miller Band and Big & Rich to headline the Atlanta Braves 2013 Summer Concert Series

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Braves 2013 Summer Concert Series is back and bigger than ever with electrifying and dynamic performances by the pioneers of hip hop Run DMC, classic American rockers Steve Miller Band and country stars Big & Rich. Each post-game performance of the Braves Summer Concert Series, presented by Coca-Cola and Delta Air Lines, promises something for everyone and is free with a paid game ticket.

Hailed as the Greatest Hip Hop Group of All Time by MTV and VH1, Run DMC, will perform only their first show in Atlanta since 2001 on Saturday, June 1 following the Braves vs. Nationals game. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are widely recognized as one of the most influential acts in the history of hip hop. Among a long list of accolades, Run DMC is the first rap group to receive a Grammy nomination as well as the first to earn RIAA gold, platinum and multi-platinum albums.

Staple classic rock group, the Steve Miller Band, will take center stage following the Braves vs. Reds matchup on Saturday, July 13. On the music scene for more than four decades, the band has a slew of hits including, "The Joker," "Take the Money and Run," "Fly Like an Eagle" and "Abracadabra." The Steve Miller Band's album, "Greatest Hits 1974-1978," has sold more than 13 million copies.

The Braves Summer Concert Series will close out over the Labor Day weekend with multi-platinum country stars Big & Rich with special guest Cowboy Troy on Sunday, September 1 after the Braves take on the Miami Marlins. This will be the first time Atlantans have had the chance to see the duo in concert since 2009. Entering the country genre in 2004 with the release of "Horse of a Different Color," this album produced four straight Top 40 country hits, including the party-favorite, "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)."
